WIBU to order Krispy Kreme for my birthday?

It’s my birthday next week. Recently, me, DH and DD have gotten really into the Harry Potter films. KK have a HP ‘range’ and have the house donuts available for delivery. DD would love them, DH wouldn’t eat one and I’m on a weight loss journey but will indulge in my birthday. DS will like them although he’s not hugely into HP, they are donuts after all but I’d need to get them delivered. So it’s £25 for some themed donuts (they won’t deliver the smaller box). We’re usually careful with money so it feels hugely indulgent. Plus we’ve had some big expenses recently and plan to start saving harder in September. Obviously we can afford it but it still seems extravagant, we’re not having anyone round. If it was DD’s birthday I’d definitely do it but it’s not until next spring and they’re not here for a long time. Is it too indulgent for some donuts??

Get the donuts! Your birthday is just as important as your daughters - you're worth it too. Apparently you can freeze leftovers if there's too many (we've never had any around long enough for that haha

I would love it if the Sorting Hat donut had four random coloured fillings, so when you bit into it you discovered which house you were in 😆

You know you can buy them in Tesco. I saw them tonight in the Krispy Kreme stand, have to say they are nothing special just doughnuts with Harry Potter icing.

Well they are the best doughnuts...

And you can freeze the extra ones. Just wrap them individually in cling film. They still taste just as good!

Have you looked on Just Eat or Deliveroo? I can get a 4 pack delivered via Just Eat.

There is a krispy kreme shop near my office. I'm just going back there with my sorting hat doughnut purely because of this thread.

Probably more excited than I should be to discover which house i'm in.

HP isn't my thing, so it would be a waste of money for me, but if you enjoy it and you have the money, then of course YANBU. If you think you'll struggle to eat them all at home then take a couple to family/friends/work, so none are wasted.

H p isn't my thing either, but the doughnuts look really nice.

Krispy Kreme are generally too sweet for me, but I fully endorse OP treating herself on her birthday. ❤️
