Argument about my tiredness

Every 6 months I have a b12 injection. I’m currently a month late as my first appointment got cancelled as the nurse was unwell then my second appointment I had to rearrange as I was in bed with an horrific stomach bug.

Because of being late for it, I’m completely exhausted and I’m covered in bruises which for me is a sign. I’m a sahm and despite my exhaustion I get through the day obviously as I have no choice but when DH gets home from work I tend to nod off for an hour.

This has caused arguments as he says he’s tired too as he’s been at work all day. I honestly wish I didn’t feel so tired but I literally can’t help it. Now I’m feeling guilty as I feel as if I’m doing something wrong

Tell him to pay privately for you to have a b12 shot tomorrow. It's a medical reason why you're tired and he can fix it by using the money he earned in his big important job.

For reference my latest blood results shown 118 ng/L when the normal range is 145-910

He’s cross with you for being ill the idiot.
He’s perfectly well and does a day’s work and can’t understand that you are doing a day’s work while being ill.
I hope he understands that when he gets in from work it’s time to pitch in, not have a moan because the service human needs medication .
Knob!

Thanks everyone. Sick of feeling guilty over something I have no control over

He’s an idiot but also why not take a high dose vitamin B tablet to tide you over and keep your levels up until your next injection. I know it’s not the same but it’s better than nothing.

I agree with the poster who said to pay privately for one. That way, you get to feel normal instead of tired and your husband won't be so tired either because he won't have to do the childcare on his own in that time.

It's important to keep up with your injections though - if the nurse cancels again or if you are ill could you reschedule for the following week rather than wait for the next month?

You have a lot of symptoms for a level that’s not too low. I’d be finding out if anything else is going on.

Oh really😩 constantly tried, bruising, headaches, shortness of breath I always considered to be linked with low b12. I’ll keep my eye on it. Thanks

Is there any reason you’re having six-monthly injections? I had v low B12 earlier this year and had injections weekly for six weeks, which resolved things.

A full blood count would tell you if there were any other odd levels.
