To feel a bit sad and deflated- literally

I’ve finally finished breastfeeding my second DS. I know it’s vain but I feel so self conscious and disappointed of my breasts now. They were 32ff before and went up to 34g whilst pregnant. I don’t have any bras that fit now but I’m guessing I’m left with like a c cup at best. I just feel like nothing looks good any more, my tops and dresses all look baggy and worn out.

Obviously I’m grateful for my 2 toddlers but I feel like I’ve finally got my body back to myself and now I’m just feeling a bit disappointed.

Give it a little time, they do take some time to recover and will adjust.

Mine never recovered.

Stayed smaller and lost all their firmness permanently. I used to like my breasts but hate the feel of them now. Just floppy and loose feeling.

Not entirely no. But they do change from you finish breastfeeding, so it's worth giving them a few months to see where you land before feeling too down in the dumps about it.

I’m only a week off breastfeeding so I guess it’s more downhill from here!

My youngest is nine : ) Breastfeeding ended a long time ago.

Anyway, a friend who had children but never breastfed said her breasts were similarly affected. So I guess its just a bodily change that some women have from pregnancy.

My point was it's early yet, OP hasn't seen where they will settle.

But yes agree, "damage" is caused by pregnancy, not breastfeeding.

I didn’t manage to breastfeed my first baby properly whereas my second we did it for nearly 2 years. So I feel like the difference afterwards is more obvious compared to the last time. I suppose getting some bras that fit might make me feel a bit less shitty about it.

Mushrooms are a surprisingly good source of whatever vitamin is needed to ping them back a little
