Anyone on here with Hashimoto's who can give me some advice?

I've been looking at my TSH readings over the last 2 or so years, and here's the trend:

Feb 2023 - 1.14
November 2024 - 2.28
June 2025 - 2.86

My GP has never suggested doing more specialised testing, but I'm worried the fairly substantial increase over 2 years could be signs of an underactive thryoid.

The background is that in 2020, I became sick with long covid. Symptoms like fatigue, heart rate issues, and a lot of hair loss (which is still continuing, and is awful). I don't think I've gained weight. But given my long covid symptoms/what I assume are long covid symptoms it's hard to distinguish. I also have another likely autoimmune skin condition called lichen sclerosus, which often does co-exist with Hashimoto's.

I'm waiting to book an appointment with an endocrinologist.

I'm really dreading being diagnosed with another condition I have to manage, but just looking for advice. Can these results just be normal variation? And, if it is Hashimoto's, can someone give me some hope? It's stressful enough managing the other ones :(

DH has hashimoto’s, I’ve also got hypothyroidism. He’s got a few other issues too. The hypothyroidism is by far the easiest of them to manage - get tested at intervals, adjust his dose slightly from time to time. For me it’s just take a small tablet first thing in the morning.
Maybe you’ve got a trend - I’d definitely make sure you continue being tested from time to time and plot on a graph.

I do not have hashi’s but my DD does.

her results vary quite a lot even though her dose u it stable.

i understand that it can come in “flares” and it is fairly normal for it to vary. Obvs if it gets out of range then it’s an issue.

i assume you haven’t changed dose.

I have had Hashimoto's almost my whole life. 100mg levothyroxine, taken once daily, annual blood test. Nothing else to do so very manageable.

I was diagnosed when I was 32, I’m now 53. Started on a low dose but am now on 125mg thyroxine a day. It became normalised many years ago and I don’t even think about taking the tablets now. It doesn’t really affect me other than excessive sweating. I get tested yearly now and have been inside the range for years now. I can’t remember the last time I had to adjust the dose.
