To ask if anyone else has received a donation request PM from cheesecakemunc?

Hi all,

I’ve just received a PM from a user called Cheesecakemunc in which they say they are widowed and they ask for money to help buy their daughter’s birthday present.

Has anyone else had a message from this user or similarly worded messages from others?

I’ve emailed MNHQ to report the message and have replied to the user saying there are sources of financial support out there if necessary (Citizens Advice etc).

You can’t in the app. Just the main site.

Scammers everywhere atm. Inundated with DfWP, HMRC, Royal Mail crap this week. That they’re PMing on here now is the bloody limit.

Well according to the messages sent yesterday under a different name it her birthday today poor fictional child

I was chatting to an old fella outside Asda a few weeks back, explained no cash, good luck to him (previous old man in spot just wanted banana milkshake - no problem).
He reached his hand out and I reluctantly went to shake it. He pulled himself up and whispered in my ear -
"I earn enough to pay you for sex if you want?"
Fucking grubby cunt! I immediately shouted for security. Told him he was a filthy pig. Security made him leave.
I went in to the cigarette/collection counter inside the door and woman who's known me for years as in shopper/worker relationship asked if I was okay.
" I'm fine, I'm just the usual fucking idiot, now please squirt that antibac on my hands and I'll wipe it all over!"

The bloke who sits outside KFC though is lovely. He hates KFC 🤣 it's just that his shelter manager's offices are upstairs from KFC. I bought him some black pepper flavoured peanuts last time saw him, sat down for a chat. Those peanuts were lush and he was very grateful for an 80p snack.

I'm inclined to agree with you. Of course people shouldn't send begging messages, but surely no one with any common sense would donate to someone who approached them like that.

Got their bank details and submitted them to their bank as suspected fraud.
