TMI Alert - Piles

Puzzlerime64 · 12/08/2025 23:38

I've suffered from piles since giving birth. I've now discovered a new (smallish) one that has gone hard, and has gone white with a black spot in it. I have no particular pain from it or any fever / unwell. ChatGPT seems to think it's an emergency but I'm on holiday until next weekend. Can I ignore it for effectively 2 weeks? Looking for real world reassurance please.

I don’t think it’s an emergency if you are not in pain or there is excessive bleeding. Not an expert but have been doctor googling a lot to decide if my own pile is going to disappear of its own accord (with cream) or if I actually need to see a GP 😭. 10 days and counting for me…

Never thought piles would be n emergency.

My piles are huge, hard and bloody hurt.
I’ve used a whole tube of pile cream since yesterday and it’s done nothing.

I’ve tried hydrocortisone cream on mine for the past two days and it’s worked wonders! Relieved the pain and itching. Hope you get some relief.

I feel like I'm qualified to comment on this...I've had a hemmerhoidectomy (don't even think about it until they're effecting your day to day, mine were but it was bloody painful) - try get some coconut oil if you can worked better than anusol HC for me a lot of times. So sorry to all of those suffering it's a literal pain in the arse.
