To wonder why there’s no media reportings that describe Dwight Yorke as the scumbag that he is?

Y1000 · 10/08/2025 15:47

He has had no presence in Harvey’s life. Why isn’t this repeatedly in the media as to how atrocious this is? Misogyny at its finest or something else?

What makes a man 'like' dwight yorke, at first sight on a night out?

Above all, Katie is vulnerable. That much is clear from the reportings of her mental health

So yeah, some vulnerable women are dealt shit men. These shit men love to take advantage and act nice at first and then claim the awful woman is to blame for their actions

I'm not saying she is innocent, far from it. But yes, along with the shitty choices she has made, she has been dealt some shitty men.

I mean an ugly, Premiership footballer known for dating a string of page 3 girls and treating them like shit.

aperolspritzbasicbitch · 10/08/2025 16:35

I dunno. I believe in a man’s right to choose as well as a woman’s.
if a blanket ‘nope, absolutely not - do not wish to be a parent’ response has been given at the point of finding out about the pregnancy I cannot find it in me to be outraged.
it’s very different to walking out once the child is here, and a relationship may have been started.
an absent parent is better than a disappointing parent.

FenderStrat · 10/08/2025 16:36

Y1000 · 10/08/2025 16:27

@FenderStrat why and how is Dwight’s relationship with his son in any way Katie’s responsibility?

Ok fair enough i'm wrong.
People have no responsibility whatsoever for the outcome of unprotected sex.

StrictlySequinsandStiIettos · 10/08/2025 16:42

Hardly a hijack - there's many out there. It's the age old debate of what do we owe each other when the only foolproof contraception is vasectomy, even then... and the rights of a parent not to be a parent.
The only other way round scenario I saw was when Sofia Vegara's ex tried to get their frozen embryos to implant in a surrogate against her wishes. Court sided with her

zerofeeling · 10/08/2025 16:44

KP is a horrible messed up person who uses her son to get attention and sympathy when it suits her. That's worse than an absentee parent imo.

Wow 😳😳 - for someone who loves the goss, I miss so much

I love Sofia vergara - I think she had one child young and decided she was done - completely understand and am one and done myself

Didn't her marriage end because he wanted kids, as well?

DiscoBob · 10/08/2025 16:46

Loads of men have no contact with their kids.

Dwight York is not remotely newsworthy as he's a washed up ex footballer who hasn't got a media career. KP sells stories constantly about his lack of involvement, she makes documentaries about it.

How much more coverage do you need?

I agree. However, when my son is old enough to have sex then he's old enough to reap the consequences.
I'd be quite ashamed if he just said "not my circus, not my monkeys, here's some maintenance money."
Whatever the situation with conception, ONS or FWB, or non-relationship, or for the cynical/misogynists out there a find me a baby daddy/money grab...it takes two to trouser tango and you should step up to the plate.

She wasn't keen, he was. One did not take, one surrogate miscarried, two embryos frozen he wanted to use, she said no (they had already split and had a contract both needed agreement to use).

Nick Loeb argues that his desire to take on all parental responsibilities is cause to allow his and Vergara’s embryos be brought to term despite actor’s objections

I don’t have sons so can’t relate, but I’m wondering if you’d be equally disappointed if your daughter decided to abort an accidental pregnancy?

Azdcgbjml · 10/08/2025 17:00

I'm astonished at the amount of people who think it's fine for a Dad to opt out of parenting. Would they be equally cool if the Mum opted out and just threw money at it? What happens if both parents opt out like that?

The moment of choice for becoming a parent is when the baby gets made. If a man does not want to be a parent then they need to make sure they don't make a baby. Once that baby is made you don't get to just opt out, or demand someone else has an abortion, not morally anyway.

Soontobe60 · 10/08/2025 17:05

Y1000 · 10/08/2025 15:57

@youreactinglikeafunmum no idea if he has ever paid.

How can it be fine though to not want to be a dad? He IS a dad. A thoroughly awful one.

There are many men who do not want to be fathers. Just like there are many women who do not want to be mothers. Those women have the benefit of being able to have an abortion in that case - men don’t.

I'm not who you are asking but that wouldn't be leaving a child to grow up rejected and unsupported by one of their parents would it? I'd be very disappointed if my daughter had a baby then abandoned it and just paid maintenance.

I wouldve told him to get to fuck tbh, glad he didnt win

There are plenty of egg donors and surrogates around (despite my personal objections) and he wanted this kid because they wouldve been hers.

No I wouldn't. Which means I am more "women's right to choose" than men's rights on this topic.
If my son impregnated a girl, who wanted to abort when he didn't, then he'd have my sympathy and empathy but nothing more. He knows I am pro-choice though and what pregnancy and childbirth do to a woman, so I'd hope he was supportive in whatever the outcome was. That might make me a hypocrite but so be it...
She wants to have it. Support her
She wants an abortion. Support her and you dodged a bullet

I would struggle if my daughter gave birth and gave up for adoption/fostering/or gave to the partner/their family to bring up.
I'd support them and get them through it and be proud of their strength in making that decision, but I'd find it hard personally.

If both parents opt out then you put it up for adoption at birth, and make a childless couple's dream come true.

Wow looks like KPs PR team are working on a Sunday

GenieGenealogy · 10/08/2025 17:22

You cannot force men to be fathers if they do not want be involved in their child's life. It's a shitty decision, and the child obviously misses out. Finances are a separate matter - a man can and should be forced to support a child he has created.

Most women know this, and are therefore very careful about who they choose to reproduce with. If you have unprotected sex or an "accident" with someone who has made it clear they are not up for being a father, get pregnant and choose to have the child, you cannot then moan at them for not stepping up.

Well, exactly.
He did say he'd agree to sole custody but I think he'd have gone after maintenance.

I always mix Sofia up with Eva Longoria (makes me problematic) - the latter did freeze eggs then had children later.

Back to the thread title - no stories on Dwight because he is now coach of Trinidad and Tobago team, as opposed to being a main pundit/in the TV spotlight?

Hankunamatata · 10/08/2025 17:24

He is a waste of space who ditched her when pregnant. Nothing much else to say is there

ExtraOnions · 10/08/2025 17:25

Harvey has 2 shit parents … luckily for her other kids, they only have one

AliceMaforethought · 10/08/2025 17:27

Why are there suddenly two Katie Price threads up? Is her management on here? In answer, while it might partly be misogyny, it is also that he is barely relevant. Also, while Katie isn't 100% to blame for everything that has gone wrong in her life, she is to blame for a lot of it. You can't blame Dwight or Peter or any of the others for the constant driving bans and animal abuse, nor for the way that she keeps messing about with her body. It isn't misogyny to expect someone to take some responsibility for their own life.

MyDeftHedgehog · 10/08/2025 17:28

I votes YABU because it's old news. Harvey is in his 20s now and I'm pretty sure it's been discussed plenty over the years. Yes Dwight is a dick for ignoring his son be everyone knows, so no need to keep repeating it

This. I do get that there is a narrative that blames women for men's bad behaviour, and that is crap. However, I'm not sure that that's what's going on in this case. Dwight is barely in the news nowadays, he certainly doesn't court the media as aggressively as Katie does.
