UK beach holidays

Anyone else just LOVE these? My in laws have a coastal property so it’s a home away from home.

Casual days on the beach, no need to rush back for anything. DC all sandy every evening, quick dinners, chatting with wine on the terrace in the evening with a fleece. Not too hot. Pottering around in sandals.

Yes…definitely. We’ve just had a really lovely holiday on the Isle of Wight. The weather was gorgeous. We had a very nice apartment overlooking a bay with a balcony to sit on. Lovely pubs/ restaurants. Beautiful scenery. Easy walks. Very relaxing (older couple 50+) We do holiday abroad at other times of the year, but I have decided that from now on ‘summer holidays’ will be in this country!

Not a fan of beaches really. I used to live by one. Dull. Uncomfortable. Good for a winter walk though.
But a relaxed holiday is fab, yes.

The UK has some beautiful places to holiday, whether that be a beach holiday, although bucket and spade no longer needed now DC have flown the nest, city breaks or in the back of beyond, the countryside can be lovely too, all made better by sunny, warm weather.

Only thing is food and drink can be a lot more expensive in the UK than some over seas countries.

Having said that I haven't had a holiday outside of the UK for 7 years.
