my ds is 2 and I don’t think he’s doing what most 2 year olds do, we have health visitor tomorrow for his 2 year check, filling out his questionnaire I’m sure he may be abit behind in development ( speech mainly )
if you have a 2 year old how is their speech ? What should he be doing by this age ?
mine will say 2 words together and not clear unless you know him ie he’ll say docs for socks and pocs for pockets mot milk for want milk etc xx

My ds didn't say a word, not even mama until he was 2y2m. We'd seen the gp and were awaiting a referral, when ds said 'key' meaning he wanted my car key.

Within 2 weeks he was using 50 words. It was as if he didn't use words until he was absolutely sure of himself. My relief was huge.

He is 17 now, 10 gcses, studying maths, physics and DT a'levels. Aiming for a degree in engineering.

Sometimes dcs just choose to do it their way.

Mines just had his 27 mth check and he’s ahead now for speech but it’s flew in during the last few months he wasn’t talking half as much at 2. When he had the last check they were worried about how little he spoke. So one of the biggest things I think, has been encouraging him to use the words and saying them to him when like you I knew what he meant. They’re all different tend to flourish more in different areas at different times and I’d try not to worry, fill it in honestly, there might be some tips/help you can get x
