I hope this is on the way. We really need to be able to see what we would look like with the clothes on.
Vinted and ebay would need to update as well.
It would be so good if you could see the item on you before you buy?

Anyone know if this is coming.
🙂
What else do you think we need?

I might be mistaken by isn't virtual try on already available.

Doopl app if I'm not mistaken.

LavenderBlue19 · 05/08/2025 20:20

Virtual try on has been around for years, I remember La Redoute had a very basic version at least 15 years ago.

I can't see how it would take into account all the intricacies of a body, unless you had a full body scan done first and used that. And never gained it lost weight, which most women do within their monthly cycle anyway.

Netcurtainnelly · 05/08/2025 20:23

Not come up against this.So I can go on any app/website including vinted and ebay and see what clothes would like like on can I?

This is the stupidest thing I've read today. I don't think you've really thought this through have you?

I’ve been punting my vision of the future around for a while:

Gigantic warehouse for all major retailers - or groups of similar brands with same target markets.

You order online; all different sizes etc but don’t get charged.

You go to the warehouse and they get your order and you take it into the warm, well lit changing rooms and try it all on including different sizes etc.

You check out and pay for what you want.

Thelnebriati · 05/08/2025 20:52

UK sizes are pretty random & most sellers can't be bothered to post the actual measurements so I'm not sure how it would work?

There is a shop like this in Australia. It has a small shopfront and you can order to the store and try on in their lovely comfy change rooms.

It would be so much easier for the brands - all ‘returns’ just get repackaged and straight back on the shelves. Low carbon impact as instead of 5 deliveries to find the perfect dress I just order from the warehouse and make 1 journey. No fucking about with returns at home either.

Pottedpalm · 09/08/2025 23:06

Goodness! Sounds like a ‘department store’! Remember those?

Ground floor: perfumery
Stationery and leather goods
Wigs and haberdashery
Kitchenware and food
Going up!

You’ve invented the clothes shop.

The clothes shop that has in stock all sizes, all clothing lines and all retailers, yes.

Not something I've ever encountered!
Imagine never again hearing from a shop assistant "sorry but you can order that online"!
