Holiday to spain anxiety

We have been saving hard to go on a holiday abroad for the first time in 15 years. It is our DC first holiday abroad. Because of the time it’s taken to save and the fact it is their first foreign holiday I’m getting really panicky about it 🙄
passports are new, everything is booked but I wake up most nights in a panic thinking I have forgotten something.
We also haven’t been abroad in so long that I feel like I’ve forgotten how to ‘do’ it!! what are things that I may have forgotten I need to do or bring for flying and going to Spain?!

I know this sounds silly!

Passports, money, travel insurance. Medication.
Anything you forget like suncream, toiletries, clothes you can buy over there.
Try to remember that and you'll be fine x

Insurance. And check any/all new rules since Brexit. Authorities will tell you ignorance is no excuse, if you haven’t followed all rules! I’m in the US a lot and they’re not lenient on things like jay walking which you see a lot of Brits doing!

Spain and France used to be a piece of piss, but there are diff things you need now. Eg in France check your car has all the bits needed. Not been to mainland Spain recently but I know it’s changed there too. Just make sure you’re aware of it all.

Oh and get GHIC cards, free and worth it now after Brexit. Have a lovely holiday and try to relax!

Bring some strepsils and cold and flu tablets- just cost me 20 euros in Spanish pharmacy!

Presuming you aren't going somewhere massively off grid as others have said you will be able to buy almost anything you forget. Passports, boarding cards, phones and chargers are important, make sure you've booked in online if possible, a few euro for tips and cabs but you can use your card pretty easily anyway. Notify your bank and check the roaming set up on mobile phones etc. make sure everyone is on data saving settings) uses WiFi where available and set low resolution video playback else it can slurp data up super fast.

oh and leave a bit of time for a browse in duty free as I'm not Brexiteer but it's undeniable the savings are astonishingly good since leaving EU. E.g. booze and tobacco at a third of UK prices.
