About my friend inviting an extra guest to a double date

So I have a friend who I’m friends with and my DH is friends with her DH. We do go out semi regularly as couples (think once every 3 months and for special occasions).

Tomorrow we’re going to a local event and originally it was supposed to be to be the 4 of us, but she ended up inviting a friend of hers. I’ve met her once, but she’s definitely not our “vibe” I’m slightly annoyed but not enough to tell her, but wondering if I’m being too precious

I wouldn’t like it either op, it completely changes the dynamic and the night will potentially be your dh’s having their own conversation as they don’t really know the other person and there being awkward conversations between the 3 of you or someone being left out as you have no shared experiences to all talk about together.

I really don’t see the problem with this.

She’s still very bitter (when I met her anyway!) and only talks about how much she hates men

She'd get on like a house on fire with half of Mumsnet, then

I wouldn’t be too impressed if I had arranged a day out with a friend and they invited someone else, it just changes he whole dynamic of the day.

i have a slight problem with my hearing and get lost in bigger group situations as everyone talks over each other and I struggle to participate due to not hearing everything,
