£100k per year isn't actually that much

Out of interest, if it's a married couple would you calculate their joint income divided by half or their separate income? I work low income part time but DH earns about 200k. So I'm not a big earner but my lifestyle and spending power etc would suggest I'm in the 4%. Like all statistics, it depends on your interpretation. None of which is actually relevant to me because I don't live in the UK but it makes one wonder how many others are in this position and don't fall within the calculation if it's based on individual earnings.

Earning a lot of money is like the modern day version of circling everything you want for Xmas from the Argos book . You can pretend to be anything you want to be online.

A lot of them will be on the telly

Yes - the wages the BBC and more so, the independent channels, pay their 'stars' is scandalous.

Broadcasters push the myth that certain people are indispensible and that the public would die of depression if they lost certain names. Some people are incredibly talented broadcasters, but even they are overpaid, and they are very few in number.
