To think I do have muscular arms?

DH keeps saying they're not as muscular as I think but that I definitely have been able to remove my "bat wings" .

I feel like what he says is true, but also that I do have muscle!

I'm also aware they could.be more defined, but probably need to.lose more body fat for that.

Depends on your definition of muscular.

IMO. Not in that picture. Muscular arms have shape and definition when unflexed.

YourFairCyanReader · 31/07/2025 22:35

Can you share your routine? What you started with and what you do now? I'd love to have arms like yours!

ELS20 · 31/07/2025 22:39

Your biceps are really big! You should be super proud of those! I work out everyday and I don’t think mine are as big!

Spaglasagneaise · 31/07/2025 22:44

Theres muscle in the bicep sure but i dont think these would be "muscular arms"

as someone above said an unflexed arm would have shape and definition. Your shoulders and triceps especially would be a lot rounder.

Wow, that's rather rude.

Not really rude IMHO. If you post pictures of yourself half naked on an anonymous forum you could get a lot worse.

Tgat was in February. I only do Peloton strength workouts

That is muscle to me. Like pp I am tall with long limbs & just dont really build muscle. I did years of dancing as a dc too.

This is MNs though so unless you look like a young Arnie someone will criticise you.

DollydaydreamTheThird · 31/07/2025 23:05

You look fab OP. I'm thinking your husband is doing the usual man tactic of trying to lower your self esteem so you don't leave him for someone who will actually be nice to you.
I absolutely hate how men feel they have the right to comment on our bodies. They can fuck right off. I'm older now but some of the things ex's said about me at a young age really stuck in my conscious mind. I don't remember ever telling them what was wrong with their bodies( believe me there was a lot). I certainly wouldn't cop for it now. I'd tell them to get to fuck.
To reiterate you look great and you should be proud of yourself. Don't let him rain on your parade. When are you signing up for gladiators? 😁

I'm doing Hyrox! But to be fair to my husband I do tell him constantly that I feel like I already look too muscular and that's it not a look I necessarily like (I have broad shoulders and a masculine face).

Just do what feels right for you then, you know your body. Don't take any shit off him though. I'll come round and sort him out. 😂
