I have added photos - hopefully there.
my hair was like pink top photo
I asked for salon photo (that’s my hair from a previous appointment)
I got dark hair photo.
Can you strip tint out of hair? It’s much darker than what I wanted. How can it be corrected or is it a lost cause?
thanks xx

I'd go back and show the photos to anyone working there and say what the issue is and see what they offer

Being honest I’m not seeing a lot of difference between the salon photo and the last photo. Maybe a little bit darker, but no more than could be explained by different lighting. However, photos don’t necessarily show true colours of things in my experience so if you’re saying it’s darker I will believe your word as an eye witness over any photo.

A friend of mine had a similar experience last year and managed to strip a lot of the dye out with crushed vitamin c tablets mixed into shampoo. It’s a known trick and I’m about to give it a go to see if I can get my old dye to fade enough for it to be less obvious as it’s growing out.

I know it’s not what you wanted, but your hair genuinely does look gorgeous. I’m very jealous of your curls!

I’m now going to shamelessly stalk this thread in case anyone has better advice for stripping dye.

Its darker than what you asked for id go back. Would be different if going dark to light as have to do it in stages .

Personally i think it looks better darker, shinier and more healthy looking.

Firstly, the colour will fade over time. I have my hair coloured dark brown to hide the grey but by week 3/4 after having it coloured, the colour on the grey is almost blonde.

Secondly there is less light in your third photo compared to the one in the salon so that would affect the appearance of your hair. (Photography is my hobby so I know the effect of light on a subject).

However, if you're not happy with the colour you should go back to the salon and ask them to sort it out.

PS - I think your hair looks great!

I need to know more about this, how many vit C tablets do I need to put in the shampoo, how often do I do this? Would sitting in the sun help to make it happen (I'm thinking about sun-in, loved that stuff).
