Blindscreen black out solution

I purchased blindscreen blinds at some cost. These were sold to me as a black out solution. We have large windows which basically ruled out various other systems.

does anyone have any experience of these blinds as they are not actually black out! I can see light through them! Pic attached.

for context the blind for one window cost £1400 - I feel duped!

the retailer is basically fobbing me off.

just wondered if anyone else has these blindscreen blinds and if so do theirs work better than mine!

AIBU in thinking these aren’t a black out solution?

They are in no way black out.

  1. The fabric isn’t black out, the light comes through.
  2. There are gaps at the top and the bottom where light comes through.

Did you pay by credit card ? If the seller won’t refund you , fight it through you credit card . They can refund and chase the seller I think x

You’ve been scammed. I paid about £60 for the most opaque black out blinds in dunhelm…

Is this an actual real post why would you pay that much money for one blind and it looks naff

£1400 wow! Mine were £12 from Amazon and my bedroom is pitch black

Yes our windows are massive like floor to ceiling height so it isn’t really possible just to buy something from dunelm. The light in the room is driving me absolutely bonkers - this was meant to be a bespoke black out solution.

in my little boys rooms for example I currently have on his window:

perfect fit blinds
a roman blind.
Yet there is still light coming in so I also have two layers of blackout material over the top. So 4 layers to get complete darkness.

this was promised as being a great solution.

i am aware they aren’t the most attractive blinds but roller blinds, roman blinds etc all have gaps around the side. We have massive windows and live in Scotland where it is light till 11pm
at the moment so the light is just driving me crazy hence me agreeing to pay so much.

however the blinds do not seem to be fit for purpose and I just wondered if anyone had any experience of these specific blinds (the brand is Blindscreen).
