To think Evri treat deliveries like a paper round?

They barely slow down, chuck the parcel somewhere near the door, and vanish without even ringing the bell. At this point, I half expect them to launch it from the street. Is it just me or has delivery service become completely hopeless?

My old one did that.. just threw it over my fence . My new one .. a man of about 50 knocks..( l have a sign on my door saying " a disabled person lives here please be patient) .. anyhow he knocks.. l open my bedroom window and look out and say" leave it on the step jeff .. ill be down soon. He gives me a thumbs up... then off l go on my flying machine ( stairs lift) to my front door.

Up until recently,I would not have had a bad word to say about Evri. Delivery driver always left my parcels in my specified safe place or with a neighbour. Until recently. Think it must be a different driver. Parcels just dumped in the communal hallway at the bottom of the stairs,or even outside the communal security door,in the street. I wouldn't mind so much but for the fact I have mobility issues. I can manage the stairs empty handed as I need to hold the handrails, but I can't carry a parcel as well,if it's heavy. I end up having to ask one of my neighbours to help me.

The problem with evri is there is no standardisation of service. It is completely driver dependant. We have 3 regular drivers. One is great, he brings the parcel down the drive, knocks or rings the bell, waits for an answer or will put in safe place (we have a parcel box opposite our porch. The other guy only delivers on Tuesday and Thursday. Regardless of when he collected the parcels, you have to wait until Tuesday or Thursday for delivery. He rushes round, knocks drops parcel and runs. Half the photos of delivery are of a front wall or driveway even if the parcel makes it to the step. The third delivery driver is awful. Luckily they tend to do most deliveries the other side of town so we don't get her often. She collects the parcels and then decides she CBA to deliver them or has a "reason" she cannot deliver. Of course sometimes things happen but this woman must be cursed with the most bad luck and unreliable car and childcare. Her car seems to live at the garage and need endless car parts (pretty sure every part on her car has been replaced by now multiple times), her children's school seems to be shut or one of her children has an illness at least once a week. Instead she posts her address on the local FB page and everyone has to collect their parcel from her as she has no idea when she will be able to deliver again, but manages to regularly collect parcels to deliver. Our schools broke up last week and she's already posted that due to school holidays all parcels will need to be collected from her house as she has no child care all summer and the kids don't want to walk round or sit in the car delivering parcels. This will be the case until the children return to school in September.

It is only 3 paces from the kerb to my front door and it is easy to pull up outside most of the time, my current Evri lady knows I work from home and pops the parcel on the front doormat, rings the bell and leaves. Often she is dropping at my neighbours too and I will have picked it up and shouted my thanks before she is back in the car.
