To not go to oasis despite having tickets

CAMHShelp · 26/07/2025 12:50

We to gig last night (not oasis) in an indoor arena and was in the top tier and had a panic attack about how high it was. Checked my tickets for Wembley which is obviously much bigger and we are in the top tier - 501 row 38 - and I just don’t think I can do it.

O2 is awful had proper vertigo, but I was just at the back of Wembley for Lana Del Rey and felt fine! The climb up made me out of breath but once you’re up there it feels really ok

JennyWreny · 26/07/2025 14:19

There's a section on vertigo on the Wembley Stadium website. Looks like they may try to reseat you if you ask on the day but no guarantees.

I've been on that level and I wouldn't go again. I sat in the seat and didn't move until it was time to go and tried not to look down. Another lady had to be helped down - basically a few staff stood beside/in front of her and walked her down very slowly - that was before the concert started.

Whaleandsnail6 · 26/07/2025 14:31

What about the person/people you are going with? Could they still go if you don't go or are you ruining someone elses night by not going?

Very unreasonable to back out this late if it impacts someone else negatively

If people can go on without you without too much impact then I'm sure you could sell your ticket

solando · 26/07/2025 14:46

I wouldn't go but would just sell my ticket and whoever you are going with go, unless they are relying on you for transport. When is it.

This is the photo from where we will be.

You may wish to ask @MNHQ to delete your post!! All your mates full names are visible on that photograph!!

If it causes more anxiety than excitement then sell them. (Obviously if someone else is supposed to be going with you - see what they want to do with their ticket first!)

NorfolkEnchance · 26/07/2025 15:24

As someone who has been refreshing resale pages thousands of times recently, GO!
Or give me your tickets 😂

StandFirm · 26/07/2025 15:37

Those are great seats OP, wish I had them haha! Genuinely it shouldn't feel as steep as you fear. Wembley's a great venue.

Alevelsarehere82 · 26/07/2025 15:41

Its not as bad as you think. I get anxious and im really scared of heights and I was level 531 for Taylor Swift at Wembley and was fine!

R0ckandHardPlace · 26/07/2025 13:59

Indoor arenas are very steep, but Wembley (and football stadia in general) is much better!

Yes! I've been to the eras tour and dua lipa at wembley in the past year, in sections 400 (I think or 300, VIP seated) and you forget how high up you are! Wanted wembley tickets for oasis but couldn't afford them 😂. Sell your tickets OP and get some money back!

It's from a public page. (A group with thousands and thousands of members.) But thanks for saying something.

LeaAndDer · 26/07/2025 18:27

Tbh I wouldn’t bother going if you’re so far away you just see ‘figures’ and let’s face it Oasis are so last year.

pastaislife · 26/07/2025 19:07

Hope you can manage to go OP if you would like to. I find the o2 much steeper and scarier than Wembley is.

Sladuf1 · 26/07/2025 19:37

I don’t think you’re/ you would be unreasonable for not going. Hope you were able to sell the tickets on if you didn’t go. I’ve been up in the Gods before at Wembley (the old stadium and the current) and it’s not the best experience even if you’re ok with heights.

I passed on a Wembley gig 2 years ago and have no regrets. To quote the last band I saw there I’m “never going back again!” It seems to be pot luck whether you’ll experience sound problems. I saw Fleetwood Mac in 2019 - we were sat in block 120 - and experienced the sound coming out of some monitors having a 2/3 second delay compared to sound coming from others nearby issue. It wasn’t just sound bouncing around because of the size of the venue, which is another problem in itself. The friends I went with spoke to stewards about it and there was a line of people complaining about the same thing.

I’ve read similar accounts about Wembley gigs before and since reporting the same problem, even up to the Linkin Park concert there a few weeks ago.
Fingers crossed the issues don’t present for the Oasis gigs.

Ah ok! No worries, I just saw the names and thought ‘ohhhh she’s not realised!’ 👌🏻

IncessantNameChanger · 26/07/2025 20:13

We went top tier at the O2. I'm OK with hight but the angle combined with height was scary. I was OK if I didn't move. Their was two army lads at the two ends seats then us. The lads held onto me so I could pass them ( I just said I was worriedid fall) and then I sat the entire time. Dispite being near the end I couldnt get up to rush down with crowd ( the stairs was rammed too). When I did join I just said again I felt scared of the height so someone waited for me to join in rather than having to just slip into the masses. Luckly the entire row bedhind us had gone the other way) It was honestly OK. But watching people on cruches come up the stairs or laden with full hands of drinks made me feel a bit nauseated. Don't drink to much. Don't pop to the loo. Don't watch anyone use the stairs......

Cattery · 27/07/2025 11:08

I went. Omg it was spectacular. Loved every minute. Perfect in every way. The top tier seats did look scary if I’m honest xx

Blingismything · 27/07/2025 13:03

If I am at a concert/show with that type of seating I do not enjoy it as much and can’t relax. London Palladium Grand Circle I’m looking at you!

Mrsplants · 05/08/2025 21:24

OP I thought of you and this thread today when I saw this article:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14972567/Father-fell-death-Oasis-gig-Family-pay-tribute-lifelong-fan-plunged-stand-Wembley.html

terrifying. It will make me think twice about how safe these venues are

Mrsplants · 05/08/2025 21:26

Someone in the comments said the man who died was in block 511
