On holiday currently. Sat on sun lounger waiting for sunset taking photos with my DC (also older teens) There is about 10m between me and the water. There are free sunbeds either side of mine, it's reasonably quiet as we've chosen the end away from the bar etc., the beach is quite steep too behind us. We've literally been there all day.
A group came and sat on the sunbeds to the side/behind us and one (older teen) then stands directly between me/DC and the water at about 5m blocking my entire view taking photographs
Everyone speaks lots of different languages so no option to say 'shift it' or even 'please be considerate I'm trying to watch too'.
After about 3 or 4 mins so they'd had opportunity to take a photo i go and stand directly next to this person to take photos. My DC says IABU and dramatic particularly as it was a teen around their age that didn't realise/know better 🙄
The person did then go and sit down again but after 5 mins and the sun is down she does it again to photograph the red sky
What do you think? AIBU to think you shouldn't stand directly in front of another family group who are clearly watching the sunset on an almost empty beach?
UABU - stand where you like
UANBU - common decency says you don't stand directly in front of others if it's as I've described.
