To think rebounds rarely work?

So many men jump from long term relationships to another one, why do they do it? Even if somebody had ‘checked’ out of the relationship long before, surely it’s healthy to spend some time by yourself?

my friends exh moved in with somebody after 3 weeks! I just can’t understand it at all.

Women do this as well! It's not healthy for either sex.

Yes, I shouldn’t generalise but I think it is more common in men

I've been married to my 'rebound' relationship for 28 years. But I agree, the chance of a rebound relationship working is small.

Did you not have any time to yourself after the last breakup? Or was you over it?

I really think it depends on the circumstances - I’m 3 months post-separation from DH but we’re still living under the same roof and I’m more than ready to move on TBH.

Its been a couple of years coming, I’ve done lots of therapy over the past ten years and was single for five years before I met DH so already know myself very well and the divorce is amicable and my choice so no emotional baggage.
