to be annoyed with DP for always turning off washing machine when it goes into a full spin?

It really pisses me off (in a non serious but still very real and annoyed way)

He gets annoyed with it when it's on while he is sat in kitchen - on computer/having dinner/watching TV etc and gets up while it's on its noisy full spin and turns it off.

But the spin doesn't last long and I think it's a waste of energy (????????) and just plain irritating.

Your thoughts.

And you had better be on my side or I can't show him the thread and tell him how totally unreasonable he is and how right I am!

Read out your comments (minus one or two !!!) and DP laughed and stuck up 2 fingers at me!!!!! Think I've won though.

OMG, my dh does this too! Well, did, it has been a couple of months since the last time.

It's SO SO annoying!

just an afterthought - if he is anything like my dp then he is deliberately cocking up a simple task so he won't be asked again. It's amazing how my genius boyfriend has now forgotten how to properly wash up , properly make the be, laundary etc - he makes a half-arsed attempt, expects glory and knows I will have to be utterly desparate before I ask him again. GGGGRRRRRRR!

Bluewof - no DP is just an irritating little shit!!!!!! And on top of that he can't load a dishwasher to save his life, make a bed, .... pretty much anything.... but I still make him do it, just have to quietly re-do most things!

I asked for my 1st post to be deleted btw!!

It is Very Dangerous and Foolish and Environmentally Damaging to turn any appliance off mid cycle, especially washing machines.

HTH

How do you think he would respond if you left all the things 'done' by him as they really were (not making them proper) ? Do you think he would eventually smarten up or just blame the steady decline of social standards since Boris (if you live in london....or 'pesky immigrants' if not)

This is my dp, except he does this to the tumble dryer....so dd has no vests/grobags/whatever available when I need them as he forgets to tell me..Grrrr.

Then when I scream at him, he delivers me some lecture about the environment/leccie bill despite the fact it is usally pissing down outside when this happens.

God it drives me insane It is just too noisy for him ..poor little mite

DP turned the tumble dryer off on Friday and he was the last one out, as we have been away all weekend guess who has no clean trousers tomorrow! and everything has to be re washed.

onepieceoflollipop · 26/05/2008 22:02

Kimi my friend had a worse experience that that.

They went on hols with another family for 2 whole weeks. Her friend had asked her dh to empty the washing machine of the last load which he did. He then helpfully left it festering in the basket and didn't think to hang it up or tumble it or anything. What a twit!
