Depends on the child, for mine kids DD would have drawn something like that age 2-3, DS probably still drawing like that at 10 yo

x2boys · 14/07/2025 09:54

5 maybe
but im not sure I could do much better at 51.

Eenameenadeeka · 14/07/2025 09:56

I think 4 or 5

I’d say preschool/ year R age

Agree. Age 4.

SpanThatWorld · 14/07/2025 10:02

My dyspraxic eldest drew people as spuds with limbs right through primary school. Then at secondary he was given drawing lessons and could produce complex technical drawings.

3-7, depending on the child (and assuming it’s a walking sibling so 3 is probably the absolute younger end to allow for that).
If you’re posting it though I’m assuming either the younger end and you think they're a prodigy or much older and it’s a concern.

Pre-school

Boredlass · 14/07/2025 10:04

Depends. I draw like a toddler and I’m nearly 50. Not everyone can draw. It’s not a life skill so doesn’t matter

TwinklyNight · 14/07/2025 10:05

3-4

Aquestiontoponder · 14/07/2025 10:06

It's better than my 6 year olds drawing! Although he's not much of an artist 🤣

It's quite good on detail, because the stick figures have bodies and aren't just heads-on-legs. The eyes have pupils and eyelashes, which is more detail than most 3 year olds will provide. And they've got hair. But only one of the people has an arm (one not two). So that's why I'm thinking upper end of 4, and not older than 5.

SortingLaundry · 14/07/2025 10:11

3-5 years?

FestivusMiracle · 14/07/2025 10:12

Reception age, so about 4?

I was just looking at the school tea towel and it looks like the reception children’s drawings.

CrocsNotDocs · 14/07/2025 10:14

I’m 47 and this is how I draw. Art is not one of my talents.

EzraJones · 14/07/2025 10:19

x2boys · 14/07/2025 09:54

5 maybe
but im not sure I could do much better at 51.

Ditto 😂

Ketryne · 14/07/2025 10:40

My nearly 4 year old couldn’t do anything remotely like this, but he is particularly uninterested in drawing/colouring so is probably a bit behind in mark making.

TinyTear · 14/07/2025 10:41

4 or 5 yo
Looks like the drawing my kid did of me with her sister in my tummy (when she was about 3) but she has a stupid talent for art that even in reception they were telling me her art looked like year 2 stuff

(she is now in the throes of Art GCSE so they knew it...

Probably reception but could also be an artistic nursery child or a child in Year 1 who hasn't chosen to spend much time drawing.
