On one of of very few nice days here in Belfast.

so I don’t think my house is going to catch fire so it’s not an emergency but I can’t sit in the garden without getting covered in ash.

I’ve asked them to stop… it’s actually a builder burning site rubbish.

I don’t think the fire brigade would come for this as it’s highly annoying not life threatening.

I’ve already spoken to him so am I right in thinking there is nothing else I can do?

Has any action been taken to stop him lighting more fires?

Not sure, the police said they were going to give him some sort of order but I suspect they’ve done jack shit.

Call the local fire station. They will come and put it out. Had this happen few years back

In England the fire brigade would come around and and put it out. Hopefully they will do that where you are as well.

Spray it out with your garden hose.

I called the fire brigade out for similar. The flames were ten ft high, they attended and put the fire out but made me feel like a drama llama and said it was a “controlled burn”. It wasn’t.

Anyway three months later he did it again and burnt 50 of my trees down, my garden office and two sheds. So yes I’d report if you think there’s a danger it could get out of control. It’s so hot it’s not safe to be having bonfires surely.

Oh gosh I remember your thread. Hope all is ok
