P/MIL with her ex-DIL - how usual is this

This is going to go against the grail with most MIL/DIL's.

I split up with DP 15yo and have 2children - now 17 and 19 but my parents have treated ExP superbly ever since with free foreign holidays and money ever since. This goes against the whole grain here and in real life. I don't know why I'm posting really apart from wanting to know if anyone else has experienced this.

Ex never worked from 2006 to 2015 - my parents could have seen DS's anytime they wanted, not just when they were with me as they always stayed so friendly - no - I didn't have an affair.

My point is if they hadn't stayed friendly they wouldn't have that.

And she was potentially seriously disadvantaged via pension due to hat 9 year employment break so I'd hope you paid significantly over the odds. Does she get a share of your pension?

I'm still very close to Ex-mil. Ex has no relationship with our kids so she reached out to me and basically said "my son has been a prick. Please can I see my grandchildren".

He complains a LOT on social media, but it's very telling to everyone that his mother and sister are in contact with three of his exes and all of his children yet he is in contact with none.

My friends joke I'm collecting MILs as MIL lives with us, DH's first mil (he was widowed) is granny to all of the kids not just DSS and exMIL is Nan to them all, not just my DDs.
