to let ds sleep all day even though it means he will probably be up all evening?

He has not been himself all weekend, since friday actually, and I can't cope with any more grumpiness and crying and complaining. So he fell asleep listening to a story CD after lunch (about 1.30) and is still asleep now.

I'd leave him

beansmum · 25/05/2008 17:06

I don't mind if he is up all evening really, as long as he has cheered up a bit! Should I wake him for his dinner or just eat it myself? It looks yum.

I'd leave him, dd2 was like this last weekend when she had chicken pox and is still not completely back to form yet!

bearmama · 25/05/2008 17:10

Agree, plus you are probably enjoying the break!

My DD is only 7 months and not well, runny nose and just not herself.

She normally has two naps in the day and is awake from 3 untill bedtime (7ish)

Today she's just slept all day really - best way for her to get better

lulalullabye · 25/05/2008 17:15

My dd was not herself, sleeping a lot etc.

Just got back from swapping with dh at hospital, chest infection, deflated lung etc etc.

Thats what I tought about her and hvae been doing for the last couple of weeks.

That's scared you know hasn't it.

Keep an eye on him.

amidaiwish · 25/05/2008 18:11

DD1 has been a bit like this all week
i've now realised she seems to have hayfever. i think it has made her feel really rough she's only 4..

beansmum · 25/05/2008 19:15

oh, I will keep an eye on him, I'll be totally paranoid now!

He's fine really, just tired, we have had a busy week. He woke up at 5.30, has eaten enough dinner for about 3 people and is now happily chasing the dog around the living room. I'll let him stay up for a while and then hope he sleeps right through.

He sounds fine. Dd1 bounces back with temps and illnesses but dd2 not the same story. She wasn't eating either so I guess your little guy just needed a mammoth sleep !
