Has anybody been to see this? I have booked tickets for myself for my 12-year-old DD and nearly 10yr old DS, and only now have I read they recommended it for age 11+ 😬😬 anyone been and can tell if the think it’ll be suitable for ds9/10. Thanks a million

I have seen it twice and I am pretty sure it will be suitable.

In fact the second time I saw this was when the local high school did a production and they had some of the kids from their feeder primaries in it as an additional choir, so there were kids who would have been younger than your DS who were actually in the show.

Edited to say it is only the mildest bit scary and has some great songs.

Unless they're scared of dentists it'll be grand.

There’s two endings, a film and stage one. I saw it recently and they used the stage ending.

The horror side is more "cartoonish" than real. A very sensitive child, or a child with an extremely vivid imagination, might not like it but otherwise I'd say fine....and great songs!!

Love love love this show. The ending is different from the film which can be a bit sad but as long as they aren't massively sensitive they'll be fine. I think I first saw it around that age tbf

Ah brilliant, no, he’s definitely not an oversensitive child so he should be fine, thank you so much all!! I’m so excited now!!

What production is it? Local amateur or profesional? A lot will depend on the director but it is usually done very cartoonish.
