What’s a good way to withdraw from a recruiting process but leave the door open?

Unfortunately the timelines didn’t work out and the final interview (a coffee at the office) is a complete logistical nightmare. My first interview with them was the 7th of May so the whole process would have taken more than 2 months.

I was made redundant, so getting a job (that I still liked!) was my number one priority, and I've achieved that. So as much as I was curious about this opportunity, I'll have to give it a pass.

Ask chat gtp to write you a letter with the criteria above. You'll be amazed!

Dear Tardy Company

This is to let you know that I'm withdrawing from the recruitment process for the role of X. I have now accepted another offer.
I enjoyed meeting everyone at the interview stages. Wishing your company all the best for the future.

ETA A long drawn out recruitment process that concludes with a coffee at the office?! I'm betting they would have been a nightmare to actually work for.

Thanks for the invite for a coffee to discuss the position. However, since we were last in touch, I've accepted a different position elsewhere, so I'll have to withdraw from the process. I've very much enjoyed speaking with you about (insert detail here) and I look forward to staying in touch in the future.

Not only that, they cancelled the original role I was interviewing for, and had to resume the process a few weeks later. To this date, I still don't know what's the real difference between the two or if there's a difference in salary either.
