Just that really, ive 2 dogs and recently the neighbours have put a wooden bench near my fence which is making my frenchie bark.( i do bring him in) but today DH has opened the door and neighbour is hanging over my fence feeding my dogs.my frenchie has lots of allergies and is strictly raw fed. Our other dog is 11years old and on senior food.
We dont actually get on with these neighbours and haven't for the 8 years being here!
YANBU - Should I report this ?

YABU - Or am I over reacting?

If your dog barks in the garden bring it in.

I'm a little worried about a French Bulldog being outside in this heat, actually 🙁

We don't know where OP lives - I'm in Cumbria and it's not got above 20 degrees all weekend.

@SummerEve I did say we dont get along with the neighbours. I'm more then greatful for all the responses on the thread.

But you haven’t said if you’ve told your neighbours not to feed your dogs.

NoelFaraday · 02/07/2025 17:58

You need to supervise your dog whilst he’s in the garden.

Tell your neighbour that he must not be fed as it could cause him health problems and also will encourage him to jump up and bark for attention and very time they go in the garden.

Then invest in a six foot high fence so your dog isn’t a nuisance and they can’t see him.

Its 19° so comfortable for him.
I'd love to be able to start up a conversation with neighbour but it's not that simple unfortunately.
Somebody did ask if he was old man the answer is yes he is and his wife stands by everything he dose.
Dog is brought in if he barks hence why DH opened the door.

I was going to say you were not being unreasonable from your original post but after reading your update even more so.

Given the history with this person and that fact they’ve been racist and horrible towards your partner and urinated on your property I would not be letting my dogs in the garden unattended again.

I would be extremely worried that they had put something dangerous in the food and were trying to poison your dogs.

I've never understood the (selfish) human obsession of feeding animals, wild or pets, when they don't need feeding.

Give them a bollocking

I've never understood selfish dog owners who let their dogs yap.

Good luck with silencing an animal. Would you like it if you were owned, then banned from communicating verbally?

Really? I've owned six dogs in my life and trained all of them not to bark. For more than
10.seconds. just takes time and positive training.
