Everyday sexism. How blatant is it?

Inspired by another thread and little things I’ve seen out and about in the sunshine today, what are some examples of everyday sexism that you come across which men would probably argue “has nothing to do with you being a woman”?

Mine was parallel parking this morning. The space was small but not impossible. I came in at a slight wrong angle the first time so pulled out slightly to reverse back on. Cue some parking expert man “guiding me” into position. Clearly my lady brain can’t park a car without his help, despite quite clearly having a driving license.

AIBU to think 9/10, men know they’re being sexist but just won’t say the quiet part out loud?

It's a tricky one because often guys are just trying to be helpful rather than sexist. For example, a younger guy held an external door at work open for me today. I'm perfectly capable of opening the door myself but I thanked him because I thought it was quite sweet.
On the other hand, twice today a male driver has pulled partly out of a junction in a bid to cause me to stop and let them into the traffic. On both occasions I ignored them because I regard that type of driving as rude, bullying and most probably sexist. I have to be honest though I'm far more likely to slow down and let a female driver join the traffic infront of me than a male driver so I guess that makes me sexist!

Cancer Research Race for Life. It used to be women only, but then they opened it up to all. It's not a serious race, there's no official timers and it's quite emotional reading the back signs of people running in memory of someone close or fighting cancer themselves. A number of the runners are not fit and it's something that pushes them out of their comfort zone trying to get round the course.

A friend did it a couple of weeks ago and I was spectating. I noticed two men at the front who were desperate to get away as soon the countdown ended. They took off at full speed, sprinted round the full course and celebrated their "victory" as they ran over the finish line. They then hung around the finish line with their medals on and their chests puffed out in a "look at me!" kind of way.

Yeah a really big achievement beating a load of unfit women doing a fun run to raise money for charity.

Well however you deal with it, nothing will ever beat this response to sexism. 😆 🤣 😂 😹
