AIBU to be worried

Hello,
My 2 year old daughter has this very tiny amount of petechiae on her neck - it is tiny and only noticed by chance.

I thinking it may be by her pajamas neck rubbing her but obviously worried as it does not blanch when pressed.

She does have a cold and cough but is fine in herself.

Do I need to worry about this?

Thanks in advance!

Probably not at this point

If you’re worried go to a doctor, none of us can possibly give you sound and trustworthy medical advice!

Upsetbetty · 27/06/2025 13:33

I literally do not see what you are seeing…

Endofyear · 27/06/2025 19:48

I wouldn't be worried, no. It doesn't even look like there's a mark there. Do you have health anxiety OP?

AmyDuPlantier · 27/06/2025 19:51

What is with all the petechiae threads on here all of a sudden? Never heard anyone in real life mention this.

Is there even a mark there?

Barnbrack · 27/06/2025 19:56

That doesn't look like petechiae to me. But you need a medical person to look at it in real life. What makes you think it's petechiae?

howcanistayhinged · 27/06/2025 20:02

She’s got what? What am I looking at?

I don’t know why a medical person needs to see…nothing? What a waste of an appointment.

Giving the benefit of the doubt but I see nothing. My daughter is prone to petechiae when unwell, gave us and a and e doctors the fear a few times but when she's unwell if she sneezes or coughs hard or vomits she often gets petechiae on her face from straining when she also has a fever.

Can't really see it much.

Bit of Sudocrem and it'll be grand.

Bumdrops · 27/06/2025 20:25

If u concerned ring 111
who could possibly know round here ?

GCDPAF · 27/06/2025 20:26

I can’t really see anything either.
When my child had a non-blanching rash it was dark red and very obvious.
