Weight loss scam pill and on social media

I saw an ad for a pill that promised weight loss. I googled some of the claims on their site purporting to be from celebrities like Dawn French. However when I googled this, Dawns weighlisd was through weight loss not via this pill. Ditto Holly Willoughby. When I commented on the post I was then blocked ( presume I was blocked as I turn was unable to see ANY of the 700 plus comments I could see previously,). I tweeted Sara Davies as they had her and Deborah Meadon's photos "promoting it". I've since seen a Facebook post from Sara telling everyone it's a scam. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Are you new to the internet?

AhBiscuits · 26/06/2025 20:54

It is literally impossible for that to look more fake.

There are AI generated ads on FB with various celebrities and Dr Hilary Jones advertising some weight loss miracle drug. Anything like this which seems unlikely just google. I’m sure if there was such miracle pill or potion they wouldn’t have to advertise it on SM.
