To get frustrated with my DS being so bloody boisterous?

I love him obviously but I do find his boisterous nature and exuberance exhausting and often frustrating.

Ask him to get something and he hurtles towards it at 100 miles an hour. He charges around crashing into things and knocking them over. He cannot sit still. This afternoon he was lying on my lap watching some TV and he just kept jerking about constantly. He finished a yoghurt earlier and for some unknown reason hurled the empty pot across the room.

It is so tiring. And no I don’t think he’s got adhd before anyone starts … but does anyone else have a 100 miles an hour kid?

My 4 yr old DGS is a human dynamo too. We've just started him at gymnastics as he spends so much time somersaulting off the bedside drawers onto the bed and flinging himself upside down off absolutely everything. He's loving it and it helps burn off some energy. He could run and play all day without stopping.

He's also lovely :) And it's just his personality (his Mum my DD2 is very calm and was as a child . My DS1 was exactly the same, and even as an adult of 30 he never sits still.

You just have to wear them out😁

My 3yo is the same. I am not like this at all, though apparently I was as a child. It's so exhausting. I would like to sit and do craft with my children but my son will do it for literally 5 mins then turf everything on the floor. Last time we tried painting he loved it for 5 mins then dipped his brush in red paint and started shaking it!!!
Feel a bit jealous of friends with calmer children tbh. Why couldn't I have one of them?!

Mine could do star jumps and burpess aged 2 - burn off some excess and then you stood a chance of reaching careful movement !
