The X-files set is amazing! Ds and I were on the train nice and early to the ugly, dirty city to wait outside the Lego Store to buy it. We arrived 30 minutes before it opened and there was already quite a queue. The sets flew off the shelves and I got the second to last one in the shelf. They brought two more piles of the set out in the time it took to chat to our favourite staff and pay and they were quickly gone by the time we left. I built it straight away once I got home and it’s a great build. The UFO is stable unless you spin it too hard and it falls off. Looking at you ds! Luckily it pieced back together quickly. The GWP of Scully’s Lab was a nice little build too. The Easter eggs in the set are plentiful and fun. Mulder’s office was the best part of the build. So much detail. Lots of minifigures too.
The next Restaurants of the World is out tomorrow-Greek taverna. I think the threshold is £160 which is annoying because there’s nothing I particularly want to buy right now after buying a few bigger sets recently.
We have the pinball machine to build along with lots of Ninjago sets by the end of the holidays. I treated myself to the City steam train last night month and plan to winterise it for Christmas. I’ve got a good display space for a train set. I’m hoping to be able to incorporate it into my winter village but may need to add a shelf because last year I was running out of space and I still have two sets to add plus whatever comes out this year. I do like the Christmas stocking and there’s rumours of a train station which would be perfect.
I’m liking the Mayor Manor Halloween set and looking forward to seeing what else they bring out in that range.
