Put her in a cat carrier?

BeliesBelief · 20/06/2025 21:02

I would have thought it was fairly obvious - you open the windows enough to get airflow but not wide enough that a cat can climb out.

BeliesBelief · 20/06/2025 21:02

Or just shut the cat in one room and have windows open in the rest of the house?

Theunamedcat · 20/06/2025 21:03

If you had more time I would suggest a small dog cage

Does your new house come with a downstairs toilet or Ensuite you can pop her in? We tend to bathroom cats if we can while moving

Put her in a cat carrier?

I think OP means medium term after they have moved while she gets used to the new house not just moving day.

Just keep the doors closed surely. And if you need to have the doors open eg whilst having all your stuff moved in - just keep her shut in one room with a litter tray etc.

Can you set up one room for her with everything she needs and let that be her home for a while until she gets used to the new place? You could let her explore the house in the evenings when everything is locked up. I don't think you should let her outside at all for a few weeks, until you're sure she's settled in.

Good luck with the move!
