I think I might have just found the definitive tenet in the Trans liturgy (not claiming to be the first to have discovered it, mind!)
In an article entitled, "Are trans teens safe in NHS BDD [Body Dysmorphic Disorder] services?" the author (Iyla Maude) refers to, "the Cass Review’s troubling assertion that CBT for BDD can stop young people from identifying as trans..." She continues to describe therapeutic treatments offered by the NHS as "potentially serious abuses."
Why would it be in any way troubling if some therapy could ease or cure mental distress such that a patient would not have to go through years of hormone treatment and painful and risky surgery?
Clearly it would not be, unless the whole raison d'etre of this movement is to act as missionaries, hoping to convert ever increasing numbers of young people to trans-ianity.
And yes, I am aware of the links with conversion therapy that gay and lesbian people have been subjected to, but I don't think that is entirely analogous as homosexuality neither tries to distort reality nor encourages people to remove healthy body parts.
