Autistic and finding it hard to stick to a job

i am an autistic woman. I also had an abuse filled childhood (which I’m not sure is relevant or not). I struggle to stick to a job. I last a year or so and then become miserable in that job.
part of it is a trauma response I think as I start pushing people away to save myself from when they do that to me. But also I start hating the job. I am sick of getting fed up with a job and then moving jobs again. It also looks bad on my CV.
Has anyone had this problem who is autistic or experienced trauma?

Every job I've ever had has made me miserable.

Yanbu, I'm autistic and have experienced a lot of trauma - I've struggled with every job i had, which led to inevitable isolation and bullying

I think you need to see what you can do, maybe find a different way of working, or start your pip/uc application x

I have ASD. I'm really not cut out for work and moved pretty much every 12 months when I was younger. Fortunately it didn't seem to matter.

I was just about to move job again when I fell pregnant and stayed for the maternity pay, then because I was too knackered to do anything else, then because I didn't think I'd get a job with the same flexibility anywhere else.

I envy people who enjoy they jobs. I've learned to appreciate what mine gives me in terms of flexibility and security and I think with age I've got better with people. Roll on retirement.

If you are still minded to fund something you actually enjoy you light need to switch it up - outside, or evening/night work, or with lots of travel. I think I'd suit antisocial hours.

I’m autistic I had a patern of- start a job, give 200% and be amazing , get sick of the job (due to exhaustion from being so amazing) start to u der perform. Leave due to dismissal/sick of it.

I realised I picked jobs that were unsuitable for me (although suitable for life stage/income etc) for my last job I thought hard about what I wanted and I love books so decided to try fir a library job which luckily I got. I work part time, (I get pip and carers) but I love it. It’s varied but an eliment of repetition , there’s some social interaction but not too much. There straitening shelves up which I love and so many books.
