Just watching reruns of Benidorm today and remarked to a colleague that she is such a versatile actress. Yes my job means I get to watch some tv. Guess what I do?

Benidorm,Downton abbey, Alma's not normal to name a few. She's totally different in all.

She's fantastic imo.

Also watched her in The Confession on Netflix, based on a true story. Imelda Staunton was excellent in that too.

She is, but within a very limited range of characters.

Don't get me wrong - I love watching her and I've enjoyed everything I've seen her in, but when I think of her I do visualise a frown or a shocked expression!

Perhaps she is typecast and doesn't get to show her range and versatility.
