Naked bike ride

Was in London yesterday: naked bike ride. Fine.. not my thing (or many other women). They finished the ride/protest/whatvever and then conjugated near B palace.. and just seemed to be happy wafting their micro penis’s about for kicks and giggles/

A lot of horrid middle aged naked men kicking about just felt unnecessary.

and 🤮

Because sexual arousal is very difficult to hide when naked. Shell suits hid a lot.

In fact, Jimmy Saville really loved wearing very little. Tiny shorts and a string vest in places where everyone else was fully dressed was common. There's a sexual thrill some men get from dressing inappropriately.

As several posters have pointed out, men AND women took part.

You do seem to know a lot about men’s sexual gratification.

*It’s only men that are able to use their penises to harm women though….

Nudity itself isn't harming women...

Hands and tongues can be used to violate and harm

We don't have to cover those up

So is an erection the only sign of a sex abuser we can use as proof? Seems limiting.

You do seem to know a lot about men’s sexual gratification.

OK now you're sounding like a TRA. Women understanding that some men are perverted, and that they will access places that give them opportunities to gratify those perversions is reflected back on the woman as something they should be ashamed of. OK. We see you.

BundleBoogie · 16/06/2025 14:54

SecondWoman · 16/06/2025 13:41

They do, but linking this to male participants in long-established cycle parade is like trying to prove that male naturists are more likely to commit sex offences. Which is far as I know isn’t true.

I’m not saying that. The common denominator and determinative risk factor is that they are male. Criminologists have identified that one’s sex is the most important factor in whether or not a person could be a sex offender.

I mentioned those stats in response to a PP questioning why I specifically mentioned the men.

DoctorRoseReturns · 16/06/2025 15:09

BundleBoogie · 16/06/2025 13:38

Because men commit 96% of all sexual assaults? Also 100% of all rapes.

They only commit 100% of rapes in the UK because of how rape is specifically using the penis

If it was any intrusion into the vagina or anus it would not be 100%

grumpygrape · 16/06/2025 15:10

OK, genuine question, what is a TRA ?

As another poster has said, you seem to be suggesting that many of the male participants of a long established event are doing it purely for sexual gratification, with no basis of evidence.

Is it so difficult to accept they might just be doing it to join in the ascribed protest ?

SantasLargerHelper · 16/06/2025 15:12

Looks like MRAs have hijacked this thread. I won't be commenting further.

Absolutely repulsive 🤢 and so attention seeking. New fear unlocked: catching worms or STIs from lime bikes.

You also plan on riding a Lime bike naked... or licking the saddles?

I think you have much bigger issues than the risk of STI's from either option.

BundleBoogie · 16/06/2025 15:16

Mothership4two · 16/06/2025 14:27

Well you have put rather a lot of words into my mouth. This thread isn't about all men but about men taking part in a naked bike ride protest - which really should be people taking part, but OP singled them out. A protest undoubtedly with cooperation with the police.

you seem to have made some rather broad assumptions about the intentions of men in general relating to sexual topics without acknowledging that there are some men that have very nefarious intentions

And where did I say any of that? And, believe me, I am well aware that some men have nefarious intentions. But, unlike some posters on MN, I don't think a naked person = a pervert.

You seem to be making a lot of assumptions about people you don't know whose intentions you can't know.

Can you point to where the law says that it is only indecent exposure if there is an erection or masturbation?

Obviously that wouldn't be enshrined in Law - I didn't say it was - and why I used the word 'typically'. Speaking to friends and family in the police and prison service, this seems to be generally the case - but potentially there may be exceptions?

Well you have put rather a lot of words into my mouth. This thread isn't about all menbut about men taking part in a naked bike ride protest

I’m only going by the things you have said about this. What do you think is different about this group of men that not one of them might have sexual intentions for getting naked in public? The issue isn’t men riding bikes, the issue is about men being naked in public. That is why OP singled them out.

But, unlike some posters on MN, I don't think a naked person = a pervert.

Obviously not all naked men in public are perverts but do you acknowledge that some may be?

You were explaining to me how the absence of an erection or masturbating means it’s clearly not indecent exposure but this is part of the issue. That may well be the practical view of the police but is a simplistic approach to determining intention that doesn’t help the distressed woman.

This is my issue with it, many people are jumping to assume that none of these men could possibly have any sexual intentions without actually knowing their intentions. The law appears to be quite woolly and as I said, appears to prioritise the word of the perpetrator over the experience of the victim.

In this world of increasing rapes and sexual assaults and a woeful 1% of reported rapes are even charged, let alone convicted, shouldn’t we be taking a more robust attitude toward the wishes of men to do as they please and start listening to women and girls who may have very traumatic reasons for not wanting to see unexpected penises out in public? Whatever the intention of the man?

A PP in this thread has reported that it distresses her as she has been flashed at in the past. Should we consider her rights? Does the fact that a man doesn’t intend for her to experience distress negate her right not to see his penis as she goes about her day?

Are you actually suggesting you don’t know the difference in offensiveness between an exposed penis and an exposed hand?

I’m not sure how that’s helpful?

Mens Rights Activists

Or on MN - anyone who doesn't agree all men are trash

Mothership4two · 16/06/2025 15:23

@grumpygrape

Looked it up on ChatGPT. Men's Rights Activist.

Not me.

Just don't understand some of the weird reactions to human nudity IMO and some of the hang ups about something quite natural - especially when it all seems to have gone ahead without incident (I am assuming).

No

I'm saying making the argument the penis should be hidden because it could cause harm is stupid because other things can cause harm and aren't covered

An exposed penis is just an exposed body part

DoctorRoseReturns · 16/06/2025 15:24

BundleBoogie · 16/06/2025 15:21

You don't see how it's helpful to point out that using stats only makes sense with some context?

SandandSky · 16/06/2025 15:29

People exist in all ages, body types, shapes, etc. Your comments on how attractive they are/aren’t is completely unnecessary and snide.

It is a well established ongoing event and if you don’t like it, look away from the willies OP!

Thank you. I believe that both men and women have rights but BundleBoogie presumably thinks I have a hidden agenda.

I do think men have the right to take part in a long established event without all being tarred with the pervert brush; I don’t think that makes me an MRA does it ?

Thank you too.

Being a dinosaur I haven’t started using ChatGPT…..yet.

I didn’t see any reports of arrests.

RedBeech · 16/06/2025 15:33

It's so weird. I had no idea it happened until one year we'd taken young DC out into London and got caught trying to cross Trafalgar Square while hundreds of flabby middle aged men with hairy butts and floppy bits cycled past. It didn't feel threatening or offensive just very weird. Partly because cycling is so bloody hard on the nethers at the best of times, so the idea of doing it with no protection on a hot sweaty day just brought the word 'chafe' to mind.

DoctorRoseReturns · 16/06/2025 15:34

TheScentOfElonMusk · 16/06/2025 15:32

Yes, 96% of sexual assaults are committed by men.

Could you provide evidence of this?

And also consider it that evidence that SA by women is less likely to be reported and believed
...

And the rape statistic is still pointless
