AIBU? Posthumous conception for surrogacy

Watching this I have to ask myself what the impact of this is for the child? It’s not the only example, and I believe the surrogate mother was truly wanting to help and do a kind thing for a family who were grieving the loss of a brother who had preserved his sperm, but should a child be born from gametes where one person who provided them is already dead (and the other is an unknown egg donor)?

AIBU? I don’t think the child is being prioritised, will the commissioning parents (the aunt and her husband) even tell the little girl?

Babies are not a commodity that can be bought or sold.

And - imagine being deliberately brought into this world effectively an orphan, that has been bought as a relic of their dead parent. What if the child doesn't turn out like a carbon copy of its father?

It’s creepy, weird and irresponsible.
