DH utterly useless when it comes to our DC’s birthday

I need to vent…our DC turns 3 this week and I am having to sort absolutely everything.

DH is saying he’s too busy with work to get stuck in with me - but he’s off playing bloody golf tomorrow.

I asked him to pick out 2/3 photos of his choice which I can use on the day for socials - I’m the one doing the actual posts no doubt yet he can’t even be bothered to spend 5 minutes to find these and send to me.

Anyone else have a partner who leaves birthdays to you to sort? It’s infuriating

Your h knows when your DS’s birthday is. Next time, list the things that need to be done. Agree in advance what you will each do, then do them. Good luck.

If he doesn’t do them, you know where his priorities lie.

Too right. Your three-year-old is going to be fumin' if that post doesn't go up. It'll be all, 'Noah got 87 likes for his birthday and I only got 10. I hate you, I hate you. Worst birthday ever. Wah. No fair'.

And yes, of course it will be you who gets the blame. Bloody typical.

In years to come your child isn't going to care if his dad picked out photos for the birthday socials 🤣. I'm factory he might resent having private family moments shared on the internet.
He might care that his dad hasn't bothered to get involved in choosing his gifts or organising his party and prioritising a game of golf instead. Your priorities are both wrong here.

DC is 3. He needs a present and a cake. YABVU. Poor bloke.
