Should I bother interviewing for a more junior role?

I have been in my company for 10 years and have been a manager for the past 2.5
I have always lived working here but a recent change in management (above me) has made me feel more miserable lately and I do not see many growth opportunities where I am.
I have been applying for jobs and was told by recruitera that I have an impressive CV but the market is just really tough in my field currently (which is true).
I have just been offered an interview for a role in a company that I really like but it’s a more junior grade than I am now and based on Glassdoor (I will have to confirm with their HR team) this role would be paying £5-£8K less than what I am on (I am on a good salary so that won’t massively affect the quality of my life but still, it’d be a step back).
Should I even bother interviewing?
Part of me thinks that after all these years and current management set up, I could do with a fresh start elsehwere and then try and do my best and work my way up.
The other part of me is saying I’d be crazy to even consider a step back at this stage of my life and it’s a bit “humiliating” to leave for a more junior role.
For reference, I will be 40 next year so I am not that young.

I would interview but only if there's room for progression in the role.

Very similar to you, I was at a company for 12 years, very senior but it was a horrible toxic environment in the end. I interviewed for a junior role just to get out, through the interview process they realised that I wasn’t junior, I was offered the role and took a 5k pay cut, within 6 months I was promoted with a pay rise, now 3 years later I’ve only continued to thrive and progress.

I think sometimes, especially if working at the same company for a long time taking a step down isn’t the worse thing. As long as you think there is suitable progression then go for it.

Thank you, this is encouraging!
I think as you say as long as pay is acceptable and there are opportunities, it is worth putting my happiness first.

OP, if you can afford it go for it. I was SLT in my last role and so far from the substance of the work I started out doing. Was very well paid for my industry but in the end was just bored and frustrated. Took a 20k pay cut to move into a more technical role that feels more impactful and haven't really looked back. I don't miss the money and im learning and stimulated again.
