The ways my brain works! (And maybe it's being unreasonable!)

I've been interviewing like crazy since my role got made redundant. It's only been three weeks but still.

Do today I have the final "sign off" with the CEO. I'm fairly confident I'll be fine (they were super impressed with my presentation and I really align with the company).

I was pretty anxious until yesterday, when I had a further plot twist with one of the companies I'm interviewing. They cancelled the role, but in the end I made such a good impression that they're putting me forward for a managerial role. (I thought I my interviews were borderline mediocre too, so maybe I should have a bit more faith in me!) From what I've read, when this situation happens, most people end up with a job.

Judt find it odd that my brain calmed down after that, and I'm in a much calmer (even excited!) state of mind. Not complaining :)

That’s brilliant news - you must be very competent and credible and that’s shining through.

As for feeling you didn’t deliver to full potential - often the best people af 50% are better than mediocre people at 100%

it’s a massive vote of confidence in you - well done!

Thank you! And yes you're exactly right, that was a massive confidence boost. It also shows that I saved the interview through relationship building, which is my job at its core.
