To think that when something is expensive, you tell yourself you got good value, otherwise you’d judge yourself?

It seems like whenever I spend a lot on something, I convince myself that it was worth it, even if deep down I’m not sure. I think we all do it to avoid feeling bad about spending so much. Like, if I don’t justify the cost, I’d just feel guilty or judge myself for being wasteful. Anyone else do this or is it just me?

I am by no means perfect but generally I buy something if I like it and I think it's worth the money (and I have the money). I hate blatant rip-offs such as theme parks but accept that if you want to go there, that's the going rate.

I think you'd have to tell yourself that what you bought was worth the money you spent. Otherwise why buy it?
Whether it's actually worth it, is subjective though.
But yes, it's natural to want to believe it's good value and to not feel so guilty about the cost that you don't enjoy what you bought.
