It’s an old film but SPOILERS will be included here!

I’m an open minded sceptic but I’d like to believe. I watched “The Others” many years ago and it really made me think - if ghosts are real - AIBU to think “The Others” is probably the most likely scenario in how they exist?

Going about their lives completely unaware that they’re dead? Unable (normally) to detect the living? Invisible (normally) to the living? And sometimes the two worlds cross slightly so the two become aware of each other?

I know it’s an old film but it’s one of my favourites and really made me think about the possibilities of the paranormal.

No need to reply with “ghosts aren’t real”

I love that movie. The part with the postmortem photographs of the servants’ dead bodies! 😱 Even though I’ve seen it multiple times and I know that none of the characters are (currently) trying to harm each other, it still makes me not want to go up to bed by myself.

I think that if there are ghosts, you could be right about this being the most likely scenario.

I think that the linear perception of time is possibly tied to our human brains, as that's the only way we can process and understand events.

But once the physical body has died, a person's "energy" or spirit may no longer experience time in a linear way. So a particular event might replay itself repeatedly or things might happen out of order.

If you have watched The Haunting of Hill House, the experience of time is described as being "like confetti"
