School uniform costs and how much is needed?

2 jumpers
2 blouses
1 skirt
1 tracksuit hoody
2 polos
1 pair of leggings
1 pair of shorts

at a cost of 353!

this is for one 12.5 yr old girl starting secondary in sept and who plays a lot of sports. Do you think I need another 1or2 blouses and another pair of leggings? At those prices I’m hesitant 😬 what would you do?

Second hand would be via the school. Contact them and ask if they have anything. They might ask for a donation.

Go to the school Facebook page and check there and ask if there's a WhatsApp group for your year group and see on there if anyone is giving away old uniforms for siblings etc.

I would try to find out from an existing parent how much of this is actually needed. DD changed schools recently and her new school is very relaxed about uniform, to the extent that she wore tracksuit trousers with the other school’s name on it for 2 terms without this being an issue apparently!

They are very strict on uniform. PE kit only during PE or on sports trips.
