To ask if you have moved miles away and did it work out?

I have a dream to move to the seaside. I'm in a financially stable position and while I by no means am comfortable, I can afford bills with extra for nice things.

I've been thinking more about this dream of mine, but I rent privately, I know the landlord well and I guess I'm just scared of making the move and potentially losing that security but that little voice won't shut up in my head. Saving a deposit to buy would take at least a few years, so I'll have to continue renting. As I rent direct with the landlord now, I also worry about how shit agencies can be.

The town I want to move to is 60 miles away and I'd be able to work remotely with maybe a day or so in the office per week, easily accessible by cheap public transport. I'm so scared to make that move though!

I moved to the seaside on a whim and loved it. Do it

I moved back to my childhood town after living in London for 30 years. I wanted to give dc the upbringing I had near the sea. I had my children in my 40s so was a bit older than some. I would say go for it.

I lived a very small life for a very long time. Then I moved 300 miles for my countryside dream and never looked back. That spurred me to aim for the next opportunity when it came up and now we’re moving countries at 50!

We moved to beside the Sea. It is the best thing when you feel a bit stressed. A walk down to the bottom of the garden and enjoy the Sea, Sky and the wonderful Sea birds. You might be lucky enough to see Seals and Dolphins like we can too.. Go for it. You won't regret it.

I moved 250 miles away with my then 7yr old and didn’t know a soul. Worked out great. Go for it - life is for living.
