AIBU to remind you it's only 11 months until next April, when we begin to see the brilliant green of new emerging leaves on the trees...see shorelines and rockpools start to brim with darting new life...the smell of soft heather and marron grass carrying on warm breezes when out on the hills...the thrill of nurturing some new plant in the garden and seeing it shoot up, etc etc. Really adore the spring and summer and wish to soak it in, this countdown to the commercialised dullness of Halloween/Christmas at the start of summer always feels wrong to me!

October, November, December my favourite months. Love Christmas but by the New Year I’m yet another year older. Always a price to pay x

Oh no I agree with the other poster, I can’t stand those few months. Loads of people get excited about “cozy season” and I can’t stand it. Some people really struggle with that time of year and I’m definitely one of them.
I’m definitely at my best at this time of year. Christmas can F off 😄

pollenandbloom I entirely agree. In fact, I haven't celebrated the last two Christmasses, I just let them go past virtually unacknowledged. We might possibly do it this year, not decided yet.

Autumn and winter are such a pain, Halloween, Fireworks, Christmas. Spring (ignoring the nonsense of Easter) is far more uplifting.
