Why does every Holiday Destination have Stray Cats

Are there any European coastal/ city breaks that don't have millions of stray cats?

I was thinking of France but apparently 11 millions cats.
I get Greek islands and Cyprus oh and Croatia had a crazy amount....

Why can't you go anywhere and not be surrounded by cats when out for dinner.
I thought western Europe wouldn't be littered ?

So broadly speaking you don’t like them being there because they ruin your ‘vacay vibe’ but don’t care about the welfare situation? What is your ideal fix here?

Anyone been to Bordeaux and noticed cats around all the time?
I thought it would be more like UK or parts or Spain where they aren't as noticeable.

Any stray animal is horrible of course. Apparently stray dogs are a big issue in Athens.
I'm shocked at some non poor countries having such an issue. Eg Fance / Italy/ Spain.
Netherlands has high numbers but most are in homes.
