To think every school is just toxic to work in now

Can you tell me that there are schools out there that aren’t? Feeling very sad and disheartened about the future of my career and that of other hard working educators.

I’m private. Went 5 years ago. Pay slightly less but holidays longer, ten students in a class and supportive parents.

I did teaching mostly in inner city primary schools. All micromanaged. Then I went to private prep school. Now bear in mind that they do vary and the one I was in was not the top prep school in the area but I had smaller classes, more autonomy, better behaved children and fortunately lovely SLT. Pay was the same as state schools but slightly longer holidays. Worth a look at.
