To think there is just nothing to do on days off?

How do people spend time off? My partner has a day off in the week which was planned so we could spend time together while the older children are at school, we still have a baby at home.
We might go out for lunch but then that’s one hour of the day so apart from chores how would you spend a day with your partner?

We only very occasionally get a day together and it's a total luxury. Lunch alone, both getting to rattle through housework with no kids here, sex, TV, stick on music we like, garden, cook a nice dinner, talk. I can't relate really I'm sorry.

😏

Ah I see you have a baby with you.

We like to go for a walk or a swim and then for some lunch. Those are baby friendly activities.

Go to the beach for a few hours, walk in the woods, go to the farmer’s market, see an exhibition, cycle along the river if you have a baby carrier?

Dvdlove · 15/05/2025 09:28

Exercise, walk in nature, dance, visit a garden, go to the library, see an exhibition or museum, bike ride, make something, bake...

If we had a baby we'd do the following:
Trip to the beach
Trip to the woods for a walk and picnic
Go swimming
Go to a castle or museum
Go to a village/town we hadn't visited before
Go for a hike (if we had a baby carrier)

loads of things to do with a baby as long as you have a decent carrier or all terrain buggy

Swim, nature walk, gallery/museum, boat ride, zoo, petting zoo, pets at home, picnic in park...

Same. There are so many things they could be getting up to, it seems daft to even try to list some. My question to the OP would be- what do you like doing? Do that.

Yes, exactly.

Google all the local places of interest and visit them all one by one. Take a picnic lunch and make a day of it. You’ll learn about local history and have a lovely day out as well.
